Kicking off Black History Month with a powerful episode!

This week’s Legal Lens show features Hasan Kwame Jeffries, College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Associate Professor of History at The Ohio State University. He also happens to be the brother of U.S. Congress House Speaker Hakeem Jeffries. Their parents did well!

Mr. Jeffries earned a PhD in American history with a specialization in African American history from Duke University and is the author of multiple papers and resources on the civil rights movement and African American history.

He regularly shares his knowledge of African American history and contemporary Black politics with the public and has contributed to several documentary film projects as a featured on-camera scholar, including the Emmy nominated, PBS documentary Black America Since MLK.
