In this latest episode of The Legal Lens podcast, I sit with civil rights attorneys, Stephen King, 50th President of the California Association of Black Lawyers (CABL), and Carmen‑Nicole Cox, CABL Board Member, to discuss CABL’s response to the recent voting rights case and decision of the United States Supreme Court in the case, Louisiana v. Callais.
This clip features Attorney Stephen King reflecting on patterns he has seen in his work: periods when rules, district lines, or legal interpretations change in ways that may affect access to the ballot, followed by renewed efforts from voters and advocates to stay engaged and participate within the evolving framework.
