Legal Lens with Angela Reddock-Wright
Starting with its inaugural and debut show on Juneteenth in 2021, noted talk show host, broadcaster, and author Tavis Smiley, began KBLA Talk 1580 radio station in the heart of Los Angeles Leimert Park and Crenshaw District communities.
Garnering some of the most well-known talent in the radio and broadcast industries, including morning show host Dominique DiPrima, comedian D.L. Hughley, actor Lani Love, finance industry expert Lynne Richardson, crypto currency expert Najah Roberts, and so many more, in October 2021, Smiley tapped Angela Reddock-Wright, noted employment law attorney, turned mediator and conflict resolution specialist, to host the weekend show “Legal Lens with Angela Reddock-Wright.”
Hosting some of the nation’s top attorneys, legislators, policy and changemakers , through the show, utilizing a warm, yet provocative interview style, Reddock-Wright moderates a dialogue of trending legal issues with the goal of helping educate, engage, and empower listeners around issues of law.
The mission of the show is to “Bring Light to Law.”
Airing since October 2021, Reddock-Wright and her team have produced multiple shows, ranging from domestic violence and the law, employment law, criminal law, legal issues related to COVID-19 and the pandemic, housing and the unhoused, civil rights and voting rights issues, tax, credit and consumer law, equal pay and gender discrimination, climate change, entertainment law, the Russian-Ukrainian crisis, and so much more.
They've also had numerous guests on the show, including Congresswoman Karen Bass, Los Angeles County Supervisor and Board Chair Holly J. Mitchell, America’s Court Judge Kevin Ross, top attorneys such as J. Bernard Alexander, V. James Desimone, Carl Douglas, Genie Harrison, and so many more.
Although the radio station is focused in large part on issues that impact the Black community and other communities and people of color broadly, Reddock-Wright encourages people of all races, colors, cultures, and ethnic backgrounds to tune-in to the Legal Lens show.
